The Veldt

The Veldt was published 14 years before Keanu_Reeves was born. That story was part of an interweaving of other stories into The_Illustrated_Man, which was released 30 years before The_Matrix. And the Matrix was released 400 years after William_Shakespeare's, As You Like It, from 1599.

WS likening the world as being like a grand stage. Its like he thought that the world was an interactive theatre for consciousness & life to play & experience things upon. Indeed, its no surprise that he would establish a Globe_Theatre. It was like a big donut or disc.

Dark_City expanded on the disc stage & theatre concept. Some people were trapped on a big disc craft so that other beings could interact with the unsuspecting prisoners.
